Nordic Storm are the first champions of the European Football Alliance after defeating Munich Ravens 48-28 in the EFA Championship Game in Innsbruck on Saturday night.
After finishing the regular season in first place with nine wins from ten games and then defeating Paris Musketeers 45-6 in the semifinal, we completed an incredible EFA season with the biggest victory of them all.
The EFA Championship trophy belongs to Nordic Storm.
A final showdown with Munich
There could hardly have been a more fitting opponent in the final.
Munich Ravens were the only team to defeat us during the regular season, winning our first meeting 37-34. When we met again at Gladsaxe Stadium, Nordic Storm responded with a convincing 55-7 victory.
On Saturday night in Innsbruck, we faced each other for a third time.
This time, the European championship was on the line.
Nordic Storm wasted little time taking control of the game.
Quarterback Jadrian Clark connected with Simon Føns on a 51-yard touchdown pass for the opening score. Later in the first quarter, the two connected again, this time for a 15-yard touchdown.
We continued to build the lead. Clark also found Edvin Almeida and Brendan Beaulieu for touchdowns, sending Nordic Storm into halftime with a 28-6 lead.
Munich refused to go away and cut the lead to 28-14 in the third quarter, but we had an answer.
Glen Toonga found the end zone twice early in the fourth quarter, extending our lead to 42-14.
The Ravens responded with two touchdowns of their own to make it 42-28, but our team remained in control.
With just over a minute remaining, Clark kept the ball himself and ran 26 yards for the final touchdown of the game.
48-28.

A broken hand could not stop Simon Føns
One of the standout performances of the final came from our Danish receiver Simon Føns.
Føns entered the Championship Game with a broken hand. It did not stop him from making his presence felt from the very beginning.
His first touchdown came on the 51-yard pass from Clark, and later in the first quarter he found the end zone again.
Føns finished the Championship Game with four receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns. He accounted for 12 of our 48 points and averaged an impressive 29 yards per reception.
Jadrian Clark also delivered one of his biggest performances when it mattered most.
Our quarterback completed 22 of 34 passes for 313 yards and four touchdowns. He then put the finishing touch on the final himself with a 26-yard rushing touchdown.
Brendan Beaulieu finished with eight receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown, while Glen Toonga carried the ball 20 times for 89 yards and two touchdowns.
A championship won as a team
Our offense put 48 points on the board, but the Championship Game was another example of what has defined Nordic Storm throughout this season.
We win as a team.
Our defense put Munich quarterback Russell Tabor under heavy pressure throughout the game and recorded five sacks.
Luke Glenna had two sacks and 12 tackles. Khalid Adisa, Lucky Ogbevoen and Ludvig Myren each recorded a sack, while Hugo Dyrendahl came away with an interception.
It was another example of something our Head Coach John Shoop has emphasized throughout the season. Different players have stepped up when the team needed them, and ultimately our results have been created together.
“This is a win for the entire team. Different players have stepped up at different times throughout the season, and tonight was no different. I’m incredibly proud of our players, our coaching staff and everyone around this team. They created this together,” says Shoop.
We came to win
For our General Manager Kristian Gildsig, the championship is the culmination of a season in which we have never hidden our ambitions.
“We didn’t come to Innsbruck just to play in a final. We came to win it. We have had that approach throughout the entire season. This league is for the fans, and every time we step onto the field, we have a responsibility to give them the best we have. Our players and coaching staff have done that throughout the season, and tonight that effort is rewarded with a championship. I am incredibly proud of them,” says Gildsig.

We entered our first season in the European Football Alliance with big ambitions.
Ten regular-season games produced nine victories and first place in the standings.
Then came the playoffs.
Paris Musketeers were defeated 45-6 in the semifinal.
Munich Ravens awaited in the Championship Game.
And when the final seconds disappeared from the clock in Innsbruck on Saturday night, there was nothing left to chase.
We had done it.
48-28.
Nordic Storm are the 2026 EFA Champions.
And this championship belongs to everyone who has been part of the journey. Our players and coaches. Our staff and volunteers. Our partners. And every single fan who has supported us throughout this season, at Gladsaxe Stadium, on the road and from home.
We are bringing the trophy home to Scandinavia.
