About Nordic Storm

Nordic Storm is the first professional American football team in the Nordic countries.

The team was founded in 2024 by a group of Danish businesspeople and football enthusiasts with a shared passion for the sport and a mission to elevate it to new heights in Scandinavia. With backgrounds as players, coaches, and leaders in leagues across Denmark and Europe, our founders were united by a single belief: the sport deserved a much larger platform, and it was time for the Nordics to have a professional team to inspire the entire region.

An Unforgettable Debut

Our vision was put to the test in our debut 2025 season in the European League of Football (ELF). We aimed to be competitive, but the results have shattered expectations. As of late August, Nordic Storm remains undefeated after the first 8 games of the season, establishing ourselves as a serious contender and a respected organization in the league from day one.

Our goal has always been clear: to build an elite team that fans across the Nordics can identify with and be proud of. We set out to create a team that could attract top players and passionate supporters from the entire region, acting as a catalyst for the growth of American football at every level.

Copenhagen was the natural choice for our home base, leveraging the strengths of the Øresund region: a growing Danish and Swedish fanbase, strong local clubs, and excellent accessibility. After a thorough preparation process, Nordic Storm was officially admitted to the ELF on September 22, 2024, debuting as the first Nordic franchise in league history.

Our Ambition: Competing with the Best

We set the bar high from the beginning. Our long-term ambition is to become a regular playoff contender in the ELF by 2030 and ultimately compete for the championship. Achieving this requires a world-class organization, a professional staff, and a powerful roster composed of a core of Nordic talent supplemented by elite international players from the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
