Nordic Storm continues home winning streak with victory over Raiders Tirol

Saturday night delivered another great night of football at Gladsaxe Stadium as we defeated Raiders Tirol 39-16 in front of an incredible home crowd.

It turned into an intense and physical game where the Austrian visitors challenged us far more than many may have expected before kickoff. The game stayed alive deep into the fourth quarter before we finally managed to pull away with several big plays and a strong finish.

The game also became an opportunity for several young players to step up after injuries in the roster. Several players stepped in and helped shift the momentum while playing an important role in helping us close out the game.

And while the final touchdown late in the game will naturally be remembered by many fans, it was far from the only big offensive moment of the night. The game featured several impressive touchdowns, huge catches, and decisive plays on both sides of the ball.

One of the biggest moments of the evening came late in the fourth quarter when Brendan Beaulieu caught a deep touchdown pass in front of a roaring home crowd to help put the game away for good.

Game progression:

Even though the final score looked comfortable, this was far from an easy game. Raiders Tirol showed exactly why American football in Europe continues to grow rapidly and why games in the European Football Alliance are becoming more competitive and intense every single week.

One of the things we will remember most from the night was the atmosphere inside the stadium.

The great weather, the evening sun over Gladsaxe, and the energy from the crowd once again created a special atmosphere around the game. From the opening kickoff to the final touchdown, we could feel the energy from the fans, and it means more to the team and organization than many people probably realize.

We remain undefeated at home – and that is something we are building together.

Next up is an important road trip on June 7 when we travel to Prague to face the Prague Lions.

After that, we return to Gladsaxe Stadium on June 14 at 1:00 PM when we host German powerhouse Frankfurt Galaxy in another major European football matchup.

We already look forward to seeing you all back in the stands.
